Edit Curve Dialog Property Mapping

The Property Mapping section of the Edit Curve dialog scales the final curve before it is used.  For example, if the curve is used to animate a property with an overall range from 0 to 100, but we wanted the animation to only go from 20 to 40, the controls in this section would be used.

Property

Description

Min

The value represented by the lowest point of the curve.

Max

The value represented by the highest point of the curve.

Wrap Y

Dictates what happens when parts of the curve that fall above or below the usual range:

Yes

Values falling outside the curve wrap around.  This is useful when mapping, for example, a rotation property where a value of 370 degrees can be treated the same as a value of 10 degrees.

No

Values falling outside of the usual range are clipped.
