Rust

Select the Rust layer type within the Layer Lab for an effect where the top material is rusted away, revealing the bottom material at various spots.  These are the properties that become available when this layer type is selected.

 

 

Property

Description

Rust Amount

Modifies how much of the top material has been rusted away.

Phase

Cycles which parts of the noise (defined at the end) are used to specify the locations of the rust.

Rust Width

Controls the width of the rusty bands that separate the top material from the bottom one.

Bump Depth

Controls how bumpy the rusty areas are.

Shadow

Controls the darkness of the shadows cast by the various layers of rusty material.

Color 1

Sets the first of three colors forming the rusty bands that separate the top material from the bottom one.

Color 2

Sets the second of three colors forming the rusty bands.

Color 3

Sets the third of three colors forming the rusty bands.

 

 

At the bottom of the Layer Lab is a yellow Select Noise box that is responsible for controlling the locations of the rust.  The options appearing within this box are identical to those of the Select Noise node.
