PixelScript Language (Studio)

Top  Previous  Next

The following sections describe the PixelScript language, which can be used to write scripts in the Edit PixelScript dialog.

PixelScript Basics

PixelScript is syntactically similar to the C programming language, but has differences to make it better suited to writing graphics filters.  Here's a summary of the basics of this language.

In PixelScript, each variable must be explicitly declared to be of a given type.

Functions and Constants

PixelScript provides numerous functions that can be used to manipulate values, in addition to some constants.

Accessing Inputs

Node inputs can be accessed from PixelScripts in order to filter an existing image.

Using Properties

Node properties can be connected to PixelScripts so that the behavior of scripts can be tweaked without needing to edit the script itself.
