Mixed Colors

Select the Mixed Colors color type within the Substance Lab's Color section for an effect that colors the master noise using an additional noise and four colors.  These are the properties that become available when this color type is selected.

 

 

Property

Description

Base Color 1

Sets the first of two colors that appear in the darker areas of the noise specified by the yellow box.

Base Color 2

Sets the first of two colors that appear in the lighter areas of the noise specified by the yellow box.

Top Color 1

Sets the second color that appears in the darker areas of the yellow box's noise.

Top Color 2

Sets the second color that appears in the lighter areas of the yellow box's noise.

Mix Mode

Offers numerous choices on how the colors specified above will be mixed together.

Switch Colors

Swaps the effective positions of the base colors and the top colors.

Mix Bias

Smaller values put greater weight on Base Color 1 and Top Color 1, while larger values put greater weight on Base Color 2 and Top Color 2.

Mix Sharpness

Increasing this value results in sharper transitions between some of the colors.

 

 

At the bottom of the Color section is a yellow Select Noise box that defines a noise that will be used in conjunction with the master noise in positioning the four colors specified above.  The options appearing within this box are identical to those of the Select Noise node.
