Repeating Pattern Layer Type

The Repeating Pattern layer type, found within the Selected Layer box of the Texture Synthesis dialog, assembles seamless textures in accordance to user-defined repetition points.

 

 

Texture Synthesis Repeating Pattern Example

The Repeating Pattern layer type is most effective with

photos characterized by regularly repeating patterns.

 

 

As previously indicated, the controls for each layer type are organized into a number of sections.  In this case they are as follows:

 

 

Section

Description

Synthesis

Specifies the source photograph and controls how it's turned into a seamless texture.

Color

Modifies the layer's color.

Blend

Controls how this layer is blended with any layers that may be below it.
