UV-Nodes

Available in the Pro and Studio editions of Genetica, UV 3D Nodes create textures that can be applied to the surface of a UV-mapped model.

Node

Description

UV Ambient Occlusion

Creates a UV texture for its input model where the brightness of each pixel represents the amount of ambient light that would reach the model's surface in an evenly lit environment.

UV Apply

Applies a texture directly to a model with no UV modifications.

UV Curvature

Creates a UV texture for its input model where the brightness of each pixel represents the curvature at that point of the model's surface. Lighter colors correspond to peaks, while darker colors correspond to valleys.

UV Environment Light

Creates a UV texture for its input model by reflecting an environment map off of the model's surface.

UV Environment Occlusion

Creates a UV texture for its input model where the brightness of each pixel represents the amount of ambient light that would reach the model's surface in an environment lit by the supplied environment map.

UV Light

Creates a UV texture for its input model by illuminating the model with a point light.

UV Multi Project

Creates a UV texture for its input model by projecting a texture onto it from various directions. This is the node to use if you want to synthesize a seamless texture for the entire surface of a model.

UV Project

Creates a UV texture for its input model by projecting a texture onto it.
